Sirius Drift Challenge 2023/2024
On December 23 and 24, 2023, the first stage of the fifth anniversary season of Sirius Drift Challenge 2023/2024 took place. The FQ team competed in the following line-up: Alexander Dyshlivenko, Dmitry Stikharyuk and Evgeny Ivanchey.
At the first stage of the current season, 97 pilots and 19 teams were registered, which is an absolute record and convincing proof of the growing popularity of drift and the status of this championship.
In addition to the high competition, another difficult factor was the weather. Unlike previous seasons, this time Sochi was hit by a powerful storm with heavy rain, strong winds, hail and even snow. The participants have never been subjected to such severe tests!
The judging panel includes Arkady Tsaregradtsev, the founder and ideological inspirer of SDC, as well as multiple winners of Russian and international drift competitions Stepan Zemtsev and Maxim Tvardovsky.
Despite the difficult weather conditions, the athlete of the FQ team, Yevgeny Ivanchey, made it to the TOP 16 and took 15th place in the Sirius Drift Challenge personal standings. Congratulations to him on this achievement and look forward to the next stages of the competition!
